Bristol is the largest city in southwest England with a population of around half a million. The city lies between Somerset and Gloucestershire and is politically part of the management of both provinces at different times. However, Bristol is historically a separate region, and is entitled to the City and County of Bristol. A few miles from the center of Bristol, two highways intersect. M4 London to South Wales before the bridges of the Severn River widens to become the Bristol Channel.
